13 Reasons Why is the story of Hannah Baker, a young teen who deals with a multitude of issues and ultimately commits suicide. This series revolves are Clay Baker and his quest for the truth after he receives tapes that Hannah left behind for the people who were the root cause of her decision.

There is a lot of controversy floating around the Internet over 13 Reasons Why.  I viewed every episode with my 13yr old daughter.  Some scenes were difficult to watch (SPOILER: the rape scene), but I believe this show accomplished what it meant to -- it opened up lines of communication with my teenage daughter that are difficult to discuss.  These types of scenes and shows are supposed to make you feel uncomfortable, and I do not believe it was "glorifying suicide".

I think this show is a must-watch. And obviously, not suitable for young children.
